[2] 상관접속사

both A and B

He studied both physics and mathematics.

We will watch either a play or movie.

2. 종속접속사

수식어, 주어 동사 목적어

(부사절)Because I am smart, (명사절)I explained that the Earth is round.

[1] 명사절 접속사(that, if / whether)

-문장을 명사로 만들어 주는 단어

-명사절의 위치: 주어, 목적어

① that + 주어 동사 = 주어가 동사한다는 것!

That she won the award was a big surprise.

② If / whether + 주어, 동사 = 주어가 동사하는지 아닌지

Mr. Lee has not yet decided whether he will transfer.

[2] 부사절 접속사

He postponed the event because rain was expected.

Although Tim is inexperienced, he did his best.

[3] 형용사절 접속사

① 사람 who 동사 : 동사하는 사람

We hired a candidate who has work experience.

② 사물 which 동사 : 동사하는 사물

We released a new book which is about gardening.

3. 동사의 형태

[1] 동사원형이 오는 경우

① 조동사 뒤

Jane should/can/may/must/need to/have to copy the report.

② 3인칭 단수를 제외한 주어
I, you, cars, managers, bananas

I speak English well.

[2] 3인칭 단수형이 오는 경우 : 3인칭 단수가 주어일 때

he/she/it, car, manager, banana

He expects a growth in sales.

[3] 과거형이 오는 경우 : 주어와 상관없이

he/she/(they), car(s), manager(s), banana(s)

Todd received a prize last week.

Managers received a prize.

[4] 현재분사형과 과거분사형이 오는 경우 : be ~ing/be p.p/have p.p

She is reading a book.

The broken printer was fixed.

We have bought a new car.

4. 자동사와 타동사

[1] 자동사 + 전치사 + 목적어

(account for, depend on, participate in, agree to/with/on, differ from, react to, care for, listen to, speak to, deal with, object to, talk about)

Jane participated in a piano contest.

His proposal differs from the previous one.

[2] 타동사+목적어

Our team discussed the new advertisement.

Brian explained his plan to the manager.
