오늘은 병치, 도치에 대해 학습했습니다. 병치부분에서 어려운 부분은 없었으나, 도치부분에서 생각보다 외울 부분이 많았어요.
긍정도치, 부정도치 그리고 Only 부사구, 부사절 도치가 특히 새로웠습니다.
Only는 부사구, 부사절이 다른 형태로 도치 됨.
AS 가 ’~와 마찬가지로‘라는 의미일 땐 주어 동사 도치 됨.

1.    병치
-    A 접속사 B
-    A = B (문장구조, 품사 동일)

2.    도치
-    주어 동사의 순서가 바뀌는 것
-    be / 조동사는 직접
-    일반동사는 do / does / did + 주어 + 동사표현

<병치 구문은 같은 품사끼리 연결>
-    She will [read and edit] the articles for the issue.

-    They speak both kindly and attractively.
-    A deadly but effective way
****deadly : 치명적인 (‘-ly’형 형용사)

<병치 구문에서는 같은 구조끼리 연결>
1.    동명사구
: Traveling for business and staying in hotel ~

2.    To부정사구
: We need to wash the dishes and (to) take out ~

3.    전치사구
: The police officer standing at the entrance and in the lobby work for the governor.

4.    명사구
: Jerry asked me [what type of paper i want] and [how much i need].

<도치 구문>
<가정법 문장에서 if 가 생략되면 도치가 일어난다.>
1.    가정법 미래 도치
: If S should R => Should S R

2.    가정법 과거 도치
: If S were, ~ => Were S 보어

3.    가정법 과거완료 도치
: If S had p.p => Had S p.p / Had S been p.p

Ex) If clients should have a question, ~
=> Should clients have a question, ~

<부정어 도치>
: Never, Nor, Hardly, Seldom, Rarely, Little

1.    Be / 조동사 직접 도치
: Never he is aware of => Never is he aware of
: Never he can aware of => Never can he aware of
: Never he has known => Never has he known
(완료시제 have / has/ had는 조동사 취급해서 직접 도치)

2.    일반동사는 do / dose / did + 주어 + 동사원형
: Never he knows => Never does he know
: Never he knew => Never did he know

<긍정도치, 부정도치>
1.    So V + S : 나도 역시 그래
2.    Neither V + S : 나도 역시 그렇지 않아

Ex) She is hungry => So am i
Ex) Max can drive a car => So can I
Ex) My sister has seen this movie => So have I

Ex) Sharon is not hungry => Neither am I
Ex) Gil can’t smoke => Neither can I
Ex) My parents haven’t seen this movie => Neither have I


1)    일반동사는 do / does / did 주어
Ex) Max has a car => So do I / So does she

Ex) Gil doesn’t have a car => Neither do I
Ex) Gil didn’t have a car => Nither did i

The main store extended its business hours, and so did all its branches. ( = all its branches also did)

Ms. Chang doesn’t like the manager’s proposal and neither do I.

<긍정, 부정 도치 출제포인트>
S + V, 접속사 [ ] V + S
=> 긍정인 경우 So, 부정인 경우 Neither



=>    부사구와 부사절 다름

Cynthia has [only lately] shown better work performance.

=> Only lately has Cynthia shown

1.    부사구
: Only lately / recently / then [V + S]

2.    부사절
: Only When / after / before S + V, [V + S]

<보너스>
1.    There is / was / remains / exists [단수 동사] + 단수 주어

2.    There are / were / remain / exist [복수 동사] + 복수 주어

Ex) There (is / are) a book on the table. => is 정답
Ex) There (is / are) books on the table. => are 정답

3.    Enclosed / Attached / Included V + S

Ex) (Attachment / Attached ) is a brochure.
=> Attached 정답.

=> 몇년에 한 번씩 시험에 나옴
: As - 1. 시간 2. 이유 3. ~하는 대로 (As + 분사) 4. 동의
=> 동의의 의미일 때 주어 동사 도치
