Dear Mr. Palmer,

The Math, Science, and Engineering Society would like to invite you to join our Education Connections committee. We are a group of professionals and secondary educators trying to create experiences in which high school students can connect their learning to possible future careers. You were recommended to us by your director of engineering, Max Lawler. We hope you will consider joining.

Our group meets from 11:45 A.M.-1:30 P.M. on the second Thursday of each month in the back room of Charlie’s Café in Coulter. Most people come in and get a plate of food from the café’s buffet lunch for $12.95, then head to the back room for the meeting. We will introduce new members at the start of the meeting, review the agenda, and start on the first topic. Typically, we discuss projects and opportunities to develop programs between our companies, the schools, and the students.

If you will participate in our committee, please let me know by May 4.
